EMDR Therapy Arizona
A Compassionate Path to Healing from Trauma, Anxiety, and Perfectionism
Life can feel so overwhelming. You stay on top of so much through the day and week that when it’s time to relax, it’s hard to TRULY allow yourself to relax. Throughout the day, reminders of the past keep creeping their way in, and it just feels like you cannot rest. Maybe you have flashbacks from experiences that happened years ago, or maybe you are feeling anxious, on edge, or irritable out of seemingly nowhere. Except you know it’s not out of nowhere. It’s coming from a place deep inside of you that needs attention and healing.
Trauma triggers can be terrifying, and you deserve to return to your authentic self!
You don’t have to continue suffering on your own. I know going to therapy and healing from trauma can be scary. But I also know that living in the trauma and old stuff doesn’t serve you either. You deserve healing and to be able to find the ground beneath your feet.
Why Choose EMDR Therapy in Arizona for Anxiety, Trauma, and Perfectionism?
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a powerful, evidence-based therapy designed to help your brain reprocess painful memories so they stop disrupting and wreaking havoc on your life. It’s effective for anxiety, trauma, and all the unspoken patterns that keep you feeling stuck. EMDR allows your mind to heal at its own pace so you can finally find a sense of calm and ease in everyday life.
I understand the unique blend of resilience and the struggle many high-achievers carry. In a world that celebrates “busy” as a badge of honor, it’s easy to lose sight of what you need most: a break from the relentless striving and a moment to breathe.
My name is Kandace (she/her). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified EMDR Therapist, and Registered Yoga Teacher*. I specialize in using EMDR therapy to help trauma and sexual abuse survivors heal from past wounds. The clients who choose me to walk alongside them in their healing journey can expect to work as a team to build resources that will help them feel like the world is starting to be put back on its axis again. I value inclusivity and support marginalized people by working with them to build a safe space to heal from past traumas. ALL people are welcome in my office, and who they are as people holistically matters. I do my best work with people who align and value the importance of inclusivity in their lives.

Is EMDR Right for You? Signs You Might Be Ready for Trauma Therapy
You feel exhausted, even after “resting,” because your mind never seems to shut off.
You often feel overwhelmed, stuck in a loop of “doing” and “proving” yourself while never feeling like it’s enough.
You’ve tried other talk therapies but find that certain memories, patterns, or emotions still control you and hold a tight grip.
You long for deeper self-acceptance, but old self-criticisms or “shoulds” keep pulling you back.
You’re ready to let go of past hurt and experience safe, grounded, and supportive relationships.
If any of these resonate with you, know you’re not alone. EMDR can offer a way forward, helping you release the burdens that trauma and anxiety have created so you can finally live a life where you feel genuinely connected—to yourself and to those around you.

It largely depends on the therapist you are looking to see.
